The South Asian Bride

The South Asian Bride’s Bridal Bazaar promised beauty, innovation, passion, and personal insights.

It delivered that and more. We were transported into a different world: sights, sound, tastes, smells, and textures abounded.

Visually Arresting

I cannot even begin to give justice by describing the vibrant colors and textures that turned the venue into an oasis of color, drifting shapes, shades, and forms!

Sights and Sounds

One of the best parts of the Bridal Bazaar was being able to see and hear (and even sniff!) so many new things. We loved seeing the other vendors wares, learning what they do, seeing how they do it, and getting ideas of how to add even more depth and nuance to what we do!

The fabrics and design confections alone are worth the trip for anyone who works in the fashion industry (this exhibition of Manish Arora at SCAD Fash was utterly AMAZING!), or anyone who is planning or having a wedding.

It was fascinating to have the opportunity to see our colleagues’ work up close! Since we were demonstrating some of our entertainment options, we were flexible to go and watch, listen, and chat–normally, we are working alongside them at the event. There were vendors and services that were new to me, and I was amazed by their services and wares.

Diversity

You’d think that the attendees would be Southeast Asian. Many were, but there were individuals and couples of all nationalities, races, and religious backgrounds in attendance. Planners, planners & designers, and more planners (!) caterers, and photographers and DJ-VJs represented the amazing depth and breadth of Atlanta and national multiculturalism. There were different kinds of services at different price levels ranging from bespoke to take-out–it was all there!

Joy

The joy and celebration that filled the venue was palpable; it was heady; it was celebratory! If you have the opportunity to attend one, I highly encourage you! You won’t regret it!
