Jan received her B.A. from Indiana University in Theater, Communications, German and French. She has lived and worked in London, Paris, and Berlin in stage, film, television, as a print journalist, translator, fashion model and in corporate, legal, and government work.

In New York, Jan continued to sharpen her skills. She has taught French, German, English, Hebrew, Literacy, Theater, and Movement to students of all ages, nationalities, and levels of ability, and she is always searching for new ways to reach non-traditional learners.

Some of Jan’s favorite places to volunteer are Project MedShare, Citizen’s Advocacy, Congregation Bet Haverim, and The International Live Events Association, where she serves on The Board of Directors for the Greater Atlanta Chapter. Jan lives with her husband and family in Atlanta, Georgia, takes on the occasional translation, and spends her free time in traffic.
