Letters to Inya Faas

Dear Inya,

I hope you can help me figure this out-I am at a loss at what to do. I recently threw a big party, with slews of people coming and going. It was opulent, glamorous, and really elegant. Naja Elieva
was performing, fabulously costumed, as usual. Well, everyone knows that we don’t tolerate smoking at The Cottage. Sure, we have some friends who just can’t seem to quit with the stinky sticks, but we love them just the same. Where was I? Oh, yes, the next day we found, to our absolute horror, that someone had been stubbing their Camel Lights out on the trunk of our Dwarf Schiffleura tree! To compound things even further, there was only one Camel Light smoker present, to my knowledge–our Event Planner! I cannot, for the life of me, imagine why she would do such a thing! Help me Inya, do I just use some Magic Eraser and try to restore its natural beauty, or should I have someone knit one of those tree cozies for it? Thank you for your help!

Dear Esmerelda,
This will not be easy. You will have to at least ask your Event Planner if she was the guilty party. If she ‘fesses up, you can have HER decide what should be done with the tree, and let her do it.
