The Special Event | Catersource is the annual conference that brings together and celebrates the best the live events industry has to offer in terms of speakers, education, exhibitors, catering, decor, innovations, and extraordinary events!

What we covered

After two long years of the pandemic, businesses, particularly those in the hospitality industry, were struggling to find, hire, and retain employees.

It became clear that the way we were doing things was not working. A company that I knew of had turned hiring on its head. They invited those who were interested in what they do to go and ‘play’ at their place of business. This, in turn, led them to invite folks to create their own positions.

Using your intuition means being in the moment and really taking note of things.

Creating jobs for people with disabilities

One repercussion: Companies can create jobs for people with disabilities, the singularly largest minority group in the U.S. 26% of U.S. adults live with some form of disability. This is the only minority group that anyone can join.

What is intuition and how can it help you build your business?

Do you struggle with understanding who your prospects, clients, hires, and partners really are and what they want?

Have you made costly mistakes by hiring the wrong person, contracting with the wrong company, or trusting the wrong partner?

We will learn and practice some simple concepts to help you understand what your colleagues and clients are silently shouting at you.

This is not about hacks, manipulation, or sales training. You will learn how to recognize and trust what you already know by training yourself to notice and decode other people’s behavior and your reactions to it.
