It’s the sexiest thing in the world.
Talking about saving the life of someone who has overdosed is about as sexy as selling Wills, Estates, and Trusts.
The Eye Opener
We were loading in for the Georgia Tech Semi-Formal almost exactly two years ago. There was a moment that confused me when the venue manager said she’d show us where they kept the Narcan. I’d never heard of it.
What Narcan is and does
She explained how to administer the spray in case of an overdose. Just so you know, the spray comes in packs of two in case a second dose is needed. I also learned that there is an injectable form.
It is available to purchase without a prescription over the counter here in Georgia and in many other states.
I couldn’t believe I didn’t know about this.
My goal
My goal: I want to get Naloxone, better known under the brand name Narcan, into the hands of every event professional, and in every venue.
How?
Naloxone is now available over the counter. Some organizations can get it free of charge from distributers and manufacturers. I’m looking for sponsorship, (i.e. donation) of approximately 100 units to distribute to event professionals and venues. We can definitely distribute more, but that would get us started.

I am very grateful to not have been directly affected by the Opioid Crisis. I believe Handy Entertainment’s activations are perfect for getting Narcan into the hands of people on the front lines who can help save lives.
